I am a professional private tour guide in Europe and am always on the look-out for what my husband and I call "European Focus Certified" hotels/B&Bs/inns for our clients. I consider Un Ange Passe one of these places. I have stayed here twice in 2009 while scouting and sent clients here in May 2010. I love the decor of the rooms, especially "La Terre." I thought the property and rooms were exceptionally clean, Bernard and Martine are gracious and attentive hosts, and the breakfast was delightful with fruit, cheese, breads, preserves, juice. A very typical french breakfast.Un Ange Passe is an excellent value, especially for this area of France. On the coast, my experience has been that the properties are expensive and don't quite meet my expectations, unless you're willing to pay 400 Euros or more per night. Un Ange Passe is in a lovely forested setting but only about 15 minutes from the coast and, what I think, is an excellent alternative to staying right on the coast.I look forward to my next visit there which will be with guests in 2011.
